The breadth of this excerpt is huge and extremely interesting.

Jonathan Swift is a historical figure not much talked about which in itself is interesting.

The period of birth rate being lower than deaths in the period mentioned is fascinating but could be explained by other factors such as the mini ice age that caused poor crop yields . Losses of men in war is probably another ( wars of Austrian succession). But given that the poor were disproportionately affected due to lack of sanitation, poor housing and associated disease it’s fair to say that the elite probably weren’t overly concerned.

On the subject of Queen Anne’s death there was speculation about poisoning and an alternative will . Reference Hugh Douglas’s book Jacobite Spy Wars (Sutton Publishing, 1999).
