Trump has sworn to "KAYFABE" for his wrestling performance on TV...
When people commit to Kayfabe they really do keep "in character" no matter what they face ... even injury or death. Inspiring thoughts if you're controlling the 🌎 .... amyrite?
In Butler, the system showed no seams however, it revealed a weakness, 'an anomaly' and one appeared using sleight of hand. Brief as it was, exposed another layer; The simulation to test itself as a control.
The recent cocaine performance with Macron and Starmer was an act of fake sleight of hand to dissolve public trust and push us deeper into hierarchy.
We are being nudged towards asking for limitations on our freedom to save us from anarchy and incompetence. The new Leviathan. The new playbook is always an old one recycled for the present.
There is a lot to your hypothesis. Go to IMDB and look up the profiles of: Donald Trump, JD Vance, Barack Obama, Josep Biden, William Clinton, Hillary Clinton and yes … many more.
Not only are those IMDB accounts in existence; but, I am informed they also have agents. Trump has been heard a number of times to use the phrase “Central Casting” when speaking about Washington officials, etc. Although high octane speculation, I suppose we must Critically Think about whether press performances, etc (ie bread and circus routines) are actually entertainment gigs; for which agents and performers receive … who knows what. 🤠🙏🏼
I'm not sure if I object to every element of this or agree wholeheartedly with it.
Part of that uncertainty is due to my not having seen any of the shows/movies being referenced. However, it seems almost nonsensical to me to believe that the decisions being made on a television show are not being limited and heavily influenced by the producers of the show, if not 100% scripted by them. I have read from "contestants" in "reality" shows that dared to violate their NDAs that much of the "action" is either suggested strongly or actually scripted by those running the show.
I also object to any idea that a system whereby "the sovereign owns responsibility for the entire system" exists, either in a tv show or in actual reality. It is my experience "the sovereign owns responsibility" only for his or her successes, while failures are routinely distributed to the flunkies. This happens at McDonald's, with sports teams and even in the White House. It's a human trait.
My indecision lies in that I can't figure out whether my opinions above are making your point or debating it. Are you saying that TV producers are using these manufactured tempests in manufactured teapots to somehow condition us for the coming feudalistic totalitarianism that awaits us? I guess my lack of knowledge and lack of respect for television leads me to believe that this is foolhardy, but then again people still see JFK's head "moving violently forward", so what do I know?
After listening to the much-maligned "AI on AI" version of this post, I understand better the point that you make. I agree with you wholeheartedly and my objection is to the shows themselves, comparing government to "winning". There are some of us who believe that voluntary collaboration on an ad hoc basis without a defined "authority" is the best way to go, but I guess a society of content, mutually beneficial people wouldn't make good television. :)
I assumed the opening phrase "What if," was delierabte as opposed to"It is a fact that." Noting how such ideas like game theory start in one place and end up in another, the same way a treatise written by military strategist in the 5th century BC ends up on every CEO's desk.
I don't have to squint all that hard to see the parallels and similarities to "reality television," and the way popular opinion is shaped on any idea, but especially concerning governance or lack thereof.
The fact the current President was a reality show host echoes Bedtime for Bonzo's rise to the head of the free world, too.
You could have written a similar frame regarding non-cooperative game theory using Lord of The Flies, or Day Of the Locust or that late 60's British movie "if..."

"the sovereign owns responsibility" within the frame of "The Show"
