Ironically I got a Masters in Nuclear Engineering for a variety of reasons. One of which was to know if the government was lying to me about nuclear weapons. I figured lying about nuclear weapons was among the worst lies that the government could do. After two years, a lot of hard work, and learning a great deal, I had my answer. Yes, the government could be lying to me. They still are.
Allegedly the enriched uranium used for one of the bombs was sourced from the german U-boat U-235 when it surrendered in may 1945. It also supplied the IR triggers for the bomb. It should be straightforward to prove / disprove the atomic bomb's use at hiroshima simply by review of the autopsies of victims, inlcuding those that survived for few years. The US army had censored the most accurate reports immediately following the 4 Aug 1945 bombing such that the availabalbe accounts of what actually happened is questionable.
Have you watched some of the videos from "No-Nukes-Mark-Kulacz" (Housatonic) as some of his detractors call him? e.g. https://stream.gigaohm.bio/w/fyjtJmh8MKmKyKm4VtWSau Lots of interesting leads coming out of that if you wanted to look deeper into it.
The biggest tell for nuclear weapons is that they have supposedly only been used twice, and the destruction caused was not at all special or unusual, and can very easily be explained by the firebombing which was going on at the time. If Hiroshima or Nagasaki were completely flattened they might be a bit more believable, but it's very obvious concrete buildings remained standing, and the bridge Little Boy detonated over was almost completely undamaged. All of which marks it as a fire bombing.
If they had been used again at some point we might have some more exacting evidence to point at, but clearly questionable 'tests' don't cut it.
This is only loosely— very loosely— related under the rubric of “narrative warfare.” But today I happened upon mention of “The Day Tapes,” which sound like they describe the narrative being constructed that is now playing in “realities” worldwide.

However, now that I am aware of two books on the subject and have watched very detailed presentations, it is clear that this is a credible explanation of historical events. Some of the old videos also look like cheap special effects by today's standard and conventional chemical reactions would also allow large reactions.

I remember a YouTube slideshow claiming air dropped atomic bombs are not possible, at least not in the 40's. I thought it was from Ralph Epperson or Eric Jon Phelps, but I couldn't find it.
Yes, for me a more likely albeit conspiratorial scenario is that the psychopathic power grid masquerading as noble political and military authorities “fighting” their engineered war most definitely tried to develop atomic weapons. Achieving the desired Venn diagram of delivery system, fixed payload and detonation at that time was likely too elusive so a simulacrum was used as backup.
20 years later, they were still trying and the Pacific tests were testament to this. However, I believe that achieving the sweet spot of delivery, payload and detonation has remained elusive to this day. Instead, in its place the simulacrum has evolved, throughout a century of conventional conflict-centric geo-political and globalist resets, such that the media saturation of the language of nuclear war and mutually assured destruction, from “dirty bombs” to “tactical nukes” to “ICBMs” to “nuclear powers”, and the decades of traumagenic, psychogenic fear psyops also known as “Cold War”, have achieved as much devastation, death and devolution of power as any nuke could.
