Good piece. The FBI's role as terrorist organization goes all the way back to 1960s... the agency became defunct when a closet homosexual with some kind of crossdressing fetish was in control of the agency, warping it forever.
There's an argument to be made that the 18th Amendment was put in place as a thesis, which turned half of America into criminals overnight (antithesis), which resulted in the formation of the FBI (synthesis). AKA Problem/Reaction/Solution
When America declares "war" on something: poverty, cancer, drugs, terrorism, we seem to experience an exponential rise in said 'enemy'.

That's always been my preferred society plan..
..Make half the school kids criminals ..and the other half coppers.
