I'm not a great fan of Velikovsky's. it does stimulate thought and discussion which is always good. I am more in the John Lennox's Old Earth Creationist camp. Anyone seen the Lennon-Dawkins debates, both very convincing and very civil with each other? When I think of Velikovsky I think of David Icke's more extreme theories such as the 'permament' hexagonal storm on one of Saturn's poles which is supposedly transmitting frequencies, picked up and amplified by our hollow, alien created moon so that the the aliens can keep us under their control, i kid you not. I have a lot of Icke's books. His one on 9/11 is excellent and very well researched, and opens up the possibility in my head that his extreme views may, but I still feel unlikely, to be true. Oh and of course Icke also believes that some of the Royal Family are shape shifting lizards who enjoy sacrificing humans and drinking their blood. Im not a royalist.

I’ve just received my copy of Immanuel Velikovsky’s, “Worlds in Collision “. Your work is changing my life. Thank you for bringing so much worth thinking about & dropping it in my lap!

Velikovsky first wrote " worlds in collision" and immediately recieved massive resistance from the scientific community, espescially by the media favorite Carl Sagan, who established his carreer by criticizing Velikovsky. The censoring campaign by " big science" was extraordinary and suggests their reaction was pathological, "methinks you object too much".

I’m reading his Earth In Upheaval right now, and just got back from Red Rocks in CO, the perspective shift on what you see all around you there is incredible. I’m searching for holes in the Davidson / Cunningham ECDO line of thinking and finding far more confirmation than refutation, but even if true I’m not seeing a way to correctly time future events. At least with the information available publicly of course.
